Neova Face Sunscreens and a Giveaway!

This post is sponsored by Neova and all thoughts and opinions are my own.

Neova DNA Damage Control Sunscreen Giveaway from FrySauceandGrits.com

If any of you read our blog for sometime you can tell by looking at our blog us three sisters are white as humans come.  With our really white and sensitive skin, and we burn really easily.  We've been taught by our mom while we were growing up the importance to take care and protect our skin so we can prevent cancer and premature aging.  Thanks mom!

A couple months ago I wrote a post about the six different sunscreens I use year round for my face and body. I was SO happy when one of my favorite sunscreen I featured on that post, Neova came out with some new sunscreens and asked me to try them out, I was so excited!  YAHOO!  I've been using their products for over five years and love them.

I want you to introduce what I like to call the ultimate trio in facial sunscreens that are anti aging and will protect your delicate skin against the sun's harmful rays:

o   DNA Damage Control SILC SHEER 2.0 [Broad Spectrum SPF 40]
o   DNA Damage Control EVERYDAY [Broad Spectrum SPF 44]
o   DNA Damage Control ACTIVE [Broad Spectrum SPF 43]

If you haven't heard of Neova sunscreens, they're specially formulated with breakthrough repair technology to reduce visible signs of aging from the sun’s rays including sun spots and wrinkles. Their DNA Damage Control SmartSunscreens are double-duty sunscreens, defending against broad spectrum UVA/UVB rays and restricting the appearance of sun-inflicted damage.  If you don't know what broad spectrum means, it means that it helps reduce the risk of skin cancer and helps to prevent sunburn.

I've been using using Neova sunscreens for a couple years now and love them so much.  A lot of facial sunscreens just protect your skin against harmful sun rays , but all Neova sunscreens also have an anti-aging component that makes them the ultimate sunscreen for your face.

These three sunscreens can used differently depending on your lifestyle and needs.

The DNA Damage Control SILC SHEER 2.0 [Broad Spectrum SPF 40]  is an oil free color correcting or CC cream, offering complete UVA/UVB protection and photoprotection with the cosmetic benefit of a skin-perfecting sheer tint that evens out complexion of all skin tones.  This sunscreen is water resistant (perfect for swimming or working out) and is suitable for all skin types.  This three in one sunscreen defends against broad spectrum UVA/UVB rays, restricts the appearance of sun inflicted damage and immediately delivers flawless, photo finished skin.

During Labor Day weekend, McKay, Amelia, and I went swimming.  I didn't want to wear makeup, but wanted my face to look even because I knew we were going to be taking photos.  Look at how nice and even my face look
s!

I've noticed that this sunscreen has light deflecting particles illuminates and brightens, bringing an immediate glow to the skin.  This sunscreen is light enough to use a foundation or you could wear it under your makeup.  You could totally use this as part as your skin care routine in the morning.  I really loved how it came in a pump so it was easy to apply and it wasn't messy to use.

The second sunscreen I've been using is the DNA Damage Control EVERYDAY [Broad Spectrum SPF 44]. This sunscreen is great for everyday use like its name indicates.  I apply this sunscreen every morning after I put my daily moisturizer on and before I put my makeup on.  This sunscreen gives me the peace of mind knowing that it  is formulated with DNA repair enzymes that have shown to increase UV protection by 300% in one hour and has a SPF 44.  This EVERDAY sunscreen is light, non greasy feeling, fragrant free, and goes on transparent after applying it to the skin.  This is also a great choice for dry to combination skin.    The only thing I didn't like about this sunscreen was it comes in a squeeze tube and comes out pretty fast, which can make it kind of messy.

This a picture of Winston, my little ewok and I in our kitchen, here I'm wearing the EVERDAY sunscreen.  I love how it looks and feels underneath my makeup.

The third and final sunscreen is the DNA Damage Control ACTIVE [Broad Spectrum SPF 43].  This sunscreen is a lot like the EVERDAY sunscreen when it comes to texture and how it goes on transparent when you apply it. The difference is that you can also use it on your body!  This sunscreen is water resistant and is ideal for year round active, outdoor lifestyles.  This double duty sunscreen defends against UVA/UVB rays and restricts the appearance of sun inflicted damage and the zinc oxide delivers advanced sun protection.  I call that a win win!  A lot of sunscreens you can use for your face and body can leave your skin feeling greasy, well I'm happy to say that this sunscreen doesn't leave your skin feel greasy and is suitable for all skin types.  This blends really well into the skin and here is a picture of me putting it on before I go on a quick run (I need to remember that downward pictures of myself aren't flattering, haha).  Again, the only thing I didn't like about the sunscreen was the squeeze tub it comes in, but other than that, I loved it.

On an average I get sunburned at least once a year.  This doesn't sound bad, but remember getting sunburned just once gives you a greater risk of skin cancer.  Like I said above, I've been using these new sunscreens for a couple of months now and am happy to say that I haven't gotten a sunburn this year!  YAHOO!  I credit 100% to not getting sunburned from using these three sunscreens.

Guess what!?! You can own and try this fabulous sunscreen trio for yourself!  You'll get one each of the sunscreens I used above.  This giveaway has a retail price of $130!  That's awesome and want to thank Neova for being so generous!  Make sure you enter into the giveaway below on the Rafflecopter, it ends October 8th.  Winner will be announced on the blog.  Good luck!

  3. Awesome giveaway! I'm also super pale and I've gotten out of the habit of wearing sunscreen everyday like I used too because sometimes it looks greasy under my makeup or makes me break out. These definitely sound like they'd be a good one to try!

  5. I always use sunscreen. I am super pale like you, plus I have Lupus, so if I don't have good sunscreen on, I get the Lupus hives. I hate those things. I haven't done much today for anyone else. I'm pretty sick right now. I didn't go pick up my grown son's medicine though. Does that count?

  28. Today I popped into the Disney store to grab two cute cups for my girls. While on line the woman beside me was cheerfully frustrated by the speed of the cashier as well as the length of the line. She mentioned she was on her lunch break and would likely be late getting back. Despite a lengthy wait and the prospect of being late to work, she remained happy and positive. So when it was my turn, I let her go in front of me. :)
