Earlier this year, while I was attending Build Your Blog Conference is where I met Emilie Ralph. She is the amazing photographer and teacher from Photo by Emilie. I attended her photography class learned SO much! Not only was so a great teacher but she is so funny! Love her outgoing and spunky personality. When the class was over, I was left wanting to learn more from her! A couple months later, I attended another conference called SNAP! and saw that Emilie was teaching another photography class and attended that one and again, I learned so much from it. During the class she talked about how she offers online photography classes that go more in depth. I signed up for two of her classes and have to say it was the most informative, helpful, and easy to understand classes I've ever heard and attended (virtually).
When I finished Emilie's classes I felt confident about using a DSLR camera. Immediately I saw a significant difference in the quality of my pictures. Thanks to my father in-law who let me borrow his nice Nikon D90 camera to practice on (I've been saving up my money for almost a year now to buy a DSLR camera). With Emilie's tips and advice I learned in her classes, I took these pictures weeks after and are some of my most favorite picture I've ever taken! Not to brag, but they're beautiful, colorful, and love the blurred backgrounds!
-Basics of manual mode
-How to identify & create perfect lighting
-Emilie's 3 step editing process
-Basics of design in Photoshop
I've taken the basics of manual mode and how to identify and create perfect lighting classes and both were great options for beginners like me. The information you will learn in these classes will blow your mind! I'm planning on taking her 3 step editing process class next week and can't wait!
FYI, the online classes are all recorded, so if you cannot attend at the time of the class, NO WORRIES! Emilie will send you the link to the recorded class so you can go back when you have time and listen and watch the class! I did this and it took my a couple of days to listen to the entire class which is perfect for busy gals like myself! If you don't win this giveaway, which I hope you do! You can sign up for any of her classes for $35 each! This is a steal.
The giveaway ends Tuesday October 1st! Winner will be announced on the blog on Wednesday! Good luck!

I would take the basics of manual mode. I find the automatic settings on my camera are particularly deficient for night photos and I'd love to learn how to use the manual mode so that I can take photos at night.
